The Role

We’re looking for a Director of PR & Affiliate Management to lead Sipland’s press, gifting, influencer, and affiliate ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of communications, tastemaking, partnerships, and cultural strategy — crafting narratives, building relationships, and connecting brands with the media, tastemakers, operators, and cultural gatekeepers who shape the market.

This is a role for someone who understands both how to tell a story and how a story spreads. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership across creative, accounts, and partnerships to position Sipland and our clients within the evolving beverage landscape — driving awareness, adoption, and cultural relevance.

What You’ll Do

1. PR & Communications

● Develop PR strategy and press pipeline for Sipland and select brand clients

● Build and maintain relationships with media, editors, producers, and writers across lifestyle, food & bev, hospitality, wellness, fashion, and culture

● Draft and refine press materials (pitches, press releases, bios, briefings, talking points)

● Pitch stories that drive brand awareness, credibility, and category leadership

● Coordinate interviews, features, and earned media opportunities

● Partner with Creative & Accounts teams to align messaging across channels

2. VIP Gifting & Tastemaker Engagement

● Lead Sipland’s affiliate & VIP gifting ecosystem

● Identify and engage media, talent, tastemakers, and hospitality partners for product seeding

● Manage influencer/talent gifting lists and outreach

● Track sampling ROI, placement opportunities, and conversion pathways

3. Affiliate Management & Partnerships

Work with affiliate networks (e.g., ShopMy, Skimlinks) to support clients’ brand campaigns

● Build and manage relationships with creators & affiliate partners

● Identify tastemakers with conversion power (social + editorial + hospitality + operators)

● Negotiate partnership terms, usage, and deliverables as needed

4. Category Leadership & Cultural Strategy

● Position Sipland as a thought leader in the evolving beverage category

● Support editorial content, trend reports, and speaking opportunities

● Collaborate with Events & Experiential to extend PR + tastemaker strategy into IRL activations

5. Campaign & Launch Management

● Lead PR + gifting strategy for brand launches, product expansions, and seasonal pushes

● Work with internal teams to develop briefs, timelines, success metrics, and wrap reports

● Support creative, digital, and experiential components of launches

6. Measurement & Reporting

● Track KPIs across PR, affiliate, gifting, and placements

● Share performance insights and recommendations with internal teams and brand clients

● Continuously refine strategy based on cultural and platform shifts

Who You Are

● A communications strategist with strong PR instincts and journalist-level writing skills

● Relationship-driven, warm, and highly credible in rooms with talent, founders, editors, and operators

● Trend-aware, culture-first, and comfortable in emerging categories (NA, low-ABV, functional, CBD/THC)

● Organized, proactive, and skilled at orchestrating multiple moving pieces

● Low-ego, collaborative, and committed to doing excellent work

● Energized by the idea of shaping this new beverage category and building something that doesn’t exist yet

Required Skills

● 5-7+ years experience in PR, communications, influencer/talent, partnerships, or affiliate roles

● Proven media relationships (lifestyle, culture, hospitality, food & bev, wellness, or fashion)

● Excellent writing and pitching skills

● Comfortable navigating affiliate ecosystems (LTK, Skimlinks, etc.)

● Strong project management and cross-team communication

● Experience interfacing with founders, talent, and media with professionalism and ease

Bonus Skills

● Experience in food & beverage, hospitality or wellness

● Experience in startup environments and/or category-building

● Experience with event PR or experiential

● Networked within influencers, tastemakers, culinary talent, or media communities

● Familiarity with Substack, editorial storytelling, or thought leadership formats
