Sipland Social Media Intern 

Location: Charleston, SC Compensation: $300/month 

Program Duration: Summer 2025 · June 15 – August 15, 2025 (9 weeks) 

Weekly Hours: 8–10 hours/week, flexible scheduling with at least 2 days of availability per week 

Supervisor: Lane McCaslin, Director of Accounts, Sipland 

Oversight Structure: Intern reports directly to the Director of Accounts

The Role We’re looking for a Social Media Intern who is deeply tapped into culture, trends, and the rhythm of social. This is a hands-on role for someone excited to learn how content, community, and strategy come together across real brands. You’ll support our team across day-to-day social execution, content creation, and on-the-ground production — gaining exposure to how modern beverage brands show up in culture.

What You’ll Do 1. Community Engagement Engage across client accounts (likes, comments, DMs) Monitor inboxes and flag important messages or opportunities Help maintain an active, thoughtful, and on-brand presence 2. Content Support Draft captions aligned with brand voice and tone Assist in developing short-form video concepts (Reels, TikTok) Identify relevant trends, sounds, and formats for brand use 3. Content Creation Capture short-form video content (iPhone) for social-first use Support filming on content days (behind-the-scenes, trend content) Assist with light editing for quick-turn content 4. Production Support Assist on local shoots, events, and content days Capture behind-the-scenes and social-first assets 5. General Support Support ad hoc social needs across clients Stay current on platform updates, trends, and emerging creators

Who You Are Deeply familiar with Instagram and TikTok, especially short-form video A strong writer with a clear sense of tone and voice Comfortable filming and being on camera Organized, proactive, and responsive Charleston-based Comfortable working with and promoting THC-related products Warm, collaborative, communicative, and low-ego Excited to be part of a fast-growing, creative environment

Learning Outcomes By the end of this internship, you will have: ● Developed hands-on experience managing community engagement across multiple live client accounts ● Built a portfolio of real-world captions, short-form video concepts, and social-first assets ● Gained practical understanding of social media strategy and how content ladders up to brand goals ● Participated in at least two full content production days, from pre-production to delivery ● Learned how a boutique creative agency structures and executes multi-brand campaigns ● Received regular feedback and mentorship from an experienced creative director

The Role

We’re looking for a Production Intern who is highly organized, has a strong eye for aesthetics, and is excited by the behind-the-scenes work that brings brand campaigns to life. 

You’ll support our team across prop sourcing, wardrobe coordination, talent booking, and shoot logistics — gaining real-world experience in how modern beverage brands execute content from concept to capture. From helping prep for mini-shoots (1-hr long photoshoots) to assisting on full production days and live events, you’ll play an active role in shaping how Sipland shows up visually and culturally.

What You’ll Do

1. Prop Organization & Sourcing

Translate moodboards into prop lists 

Source props for small and large-scale photoshoots

Organize and deliver props to photoshoots 

Manage return and proper storage of props 

2. Booking Talent & Sourcing Wardrobe

Book Talent as needed for Sipland photoshoots 

Act as model liaison during photoshoot

Source model wardrobe based on shotlists

3. Location Management

Scout and Book Locations for Sipland mini-shoots 

4. Production Assistance 

Assist Designer and Creative Director during photoshoots 

Prep beverages on ice before shoots, steam backgrounds, and assist with prop styling 

5. Event Support

Support event set-up for clients in and outside of the beverage industry 

Who You Are

Interested in photography, creative direction, and/or production

Passionate about behind-the-scenes production that brings brands to life

A creative storyteller with an eye for details 

Highly organized, proactive, and responsive

Charleston-based

  • Received regular feedback and mentorship from Sipland’s Designer and interface with experienced creative director
