01. The Project Download
Sipland developed the brand identity for the world’s first Non-Alcoholic Oktoberfest in partnership with the City of Boston. The Sipland team flew out to Boston to ensure that the event went off without a hitch. Our event producer coordinated production, dropoff and breakdown of the entire event from start to finish.
We drew inspiration from classic Oktoberfests, traditional beer gardens, and German architecture, infusing it with a touch of Sipland magic.

03. Designing the Experience
Our journey began by creating the name “Notoberfest,” to convey the event’s alcohol-free nature, while still emphasizing the traditional beer garden experience. Once the event’s name and branding were established, we moved on to designing the full experience. This included everything from curating the bar experience and selecting drink brand partners, to organizing family-friendly yard games for entertainment.

Sipland joined forces with Dray, Boston’s first and only dedicated non-alcoholic bottle shop, and the City of Boston’s Wake Up the Night grant program to bring you Notoberfest—the U.S.’s first-ever 100% non-alcoholic beer garden pop-up, in Boston. This free, public event reimagined Oktoberfest by offering a completely alcohol-free experience. Guests raised a glass with Best Day Brewing’s NA Kölsch, the event's “Haus beer,” plus a wide selection of other non-alcoholic beverages. With live music, delicious food vendors, and family-friendly activities, Notoberfest was all about enjoying fall vibes, good company, and tons of fun—without the booze.
