01. The Project Download

To mark their first year in business, Wims wanted to do something a little unexpected, a little nostalgic, and very on-brand: a lawn day in the middle of NYC. The brief? Recreation, leisure, and fun vibes only. Sipland got to work — and yes, we found the grass.

02. The Inspiration

We channeled vintage summer camp energy and leaned into lawn days and all that entails. Think felt flags, prep-school cool, Parisian park stands and snacks, and a best-in-class lineup of lawn games.

03. designing the experience

First order of business: finding the lawn. After some sleuthing, we landed on New York Marble Cemetery, a hidden garden oasis in the middle of the East Village. The location was almost as sublime as all that grass and nature surrounding it. Next up: the food, merch, and drink carts that were all customized to fit the Wims aesthetic. Felt flags with sayings like “Legalize Leisure” and “Snap, Sip, and Be Well.” A custom cornhole set, enamel pins, snapbacks, and participation awards brought the full vision to life.

04. the outcome

On a Tuesday afternoon in NYC, a rainy day suddenly cleared to a glorious evening that basked Lawn Day and the NYMC in golden hour light. Guests lounged on blankets, sipped Strawberry Shrub Spritzes and fresh lemonades spiked with Wims pick-me-ups, and snacked on mini bratwursts and lobster rolls — all served from park carts, with adorable yellow baskets. Snapbacks, enamel pins, and participation awards made their rounds. Games were played, photos were snapped, and for one glorious afternoon, the city slowed down. It was a day of celebration, leisure, and of course, with the help of Wims, made us all feel a little more Wimsical.
